About Us
Our Program
Henotic Homestead's Shetland Sheepdogs is located in Lebanon, TN. Our dogs all live inside of our home and are treated as our loving pets. They are as much a part of our family as their puppies will be of yours. Their puppies are raised in our home around our 3 children, other dogs, and cats. We breed for health and temperament, with a focus on Emotional Support. Many of our puppies go on to get trained as Service Dogs and many more become their owner's emotional support animal (ESA). We are proud to be your breeder!
Enrichment and Socialization
Our puppies are around older children, our little one, other dogs, and cats. We give a variety of toys for surface diversity, they experience carpet, grass, rocks, etc. After their 6 week shots, we take them to Lowe's, Home Depot, or Tractor Supply. There they are exposed to bright lights, loud sounds, crowds, and people cooing over their basket. We also start crate and potty training at an early age.
Our Goals
The health and happiness of our dogs and puppies are our main focus. We DNA test our dogs. We socialize our puppies as much as possible to hopefully curb some of the common sheltie reservations. We offer lifetime support of your new puppy. We are there for you for any questions you may have, any time. We have put a lot into finding just the right temperaments for our program to give you the best possible companion, or prospect for an ESA or service dog!
